Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: Where is Luna living?
A: Luna lives on the Greek island, Crete. Located in South-East Europe. While she spents most of her time in central Crete (Heraklion region), she also travels to other areas.

Q: How is the climate in Crete? Is the climate suitable for a Border Collie?
A: Greece is ranked as one of the best countries in world for a sunny escape! On average we have more than 250 days of sunshine or 3,000 sunny hours a year. "Although as a border collie breed I originate in England, I truly enjoy the Mediterranean climate a lot!"

Q: Was it easy to adapt?
A: In the beginning I needed some time to adapt to the warm weather, in July & august when it is really too hot during the day my pawrents make sure to take me to the beach in the afternoon for a refreshing swim.

Q: Is it safe to walk outside during the hot Summer days?
A: We NEVER exercise her or walk her during these hot day's but only at the evening. "I love it when it is chilled out" says Luna.

Q: How is it to travel as a dog in Crete?
A: Although traveling alone as a dog is not really a popular idea, yet my pawrents took me in the summer of 2019 all over the island! We went literally everywhere together! I had fun at the beach, swimming in the sea and hiking in the mountains. Click here to read my article about travelling in Crete.

Q: Why did your pawrents choose to take a Border Collie?
A: Luna's mum speaking here: "I met Luna in 2015, while I went to look for a friends puppy. She was the last one of the liter, small and fragile. The breeder told me she had some small nutritional/health problems and was not eating well. Nobody was interested yet for her since she was so mini in comparison to her siblings. She stole my heart straight from the beginning, putting her paw in my hand I decided this is the one!"

Q: Is this the first dog for your pawrents?
A: My mum grow up in a family with many Border Collies. Since then she is hooked to the breed. My dad had always hunting dogs.

Q: Who are the people running this account?
A: It's me Luna running this blog! Of course I bark to my pawrents what they have to note down since typing on the keyboard with this paws is a little difficult. My mum also recently got her Veterinary assistant Diploma and my dad has a master in the Biology field.
